Dragon Marked by Jaymin Eve

5.0

Why is it that the heroin never seems to have any female friends? All her friends are guys. Quadruplet Guys!! And she isn't even crushing on any of them or vice versa (Or so it seems). Gotta admit, that's kind of awesome. They are all incredibly loyal to one another, always looking out for each other. And they're so protective of her too, though it sounds like they're maybe not supposed to want to be? Gotta admit, that's kind of confusing. But that's a different part of the story. I also loved the candidness between the five of them and then the easy acceptance each had of Mischa (Jessa's twin sister) when they found out that she existed.

I highly enjoyed this book. It was complex, mysterious, adventurous, energetic, and showed a lot of character development. I was highly impressed with the levels of change each of the characters showed. It was quite heartening to see.

I loved Jessa. She showed much character development; at first she was bitter and angry over the seeming abandonment of her and her father by her mother, but then she grew to accept the extenuating circumstances of the abandonment as having been for her and her twin sister's own good. Then the four of them became, more or less, the perfect family. Next came her unwavering loyalty to the Compass "Quads," which was tested only by Jessa's desire to keep from them the truth of her heritage, that of the dragon marked.

And the Dragon Marked. They are a type of hybrid between their original supernatural nature and that of the dragon king, long since having perished. It is prophesied that he will again rise by the power of the Dragon Marked united. Next there are rumors of two mysterious women who are going around the world setting free the Dragon Marked, and appearing as if they are searching for two specific females to complete the compass that will bring about the rising of the dragon king. Who are these women and what does this all mean for Jessa and Mischa? What happens next?
