I LOVED this book most of the time. I could hardly put it down while reading- I haven’t learned about about Stalin’s regime and I think it’s under-represented in ww11 fiction, so I really appreciate this book for that reason.
It lost 1/2 point for the end. The author speaks about an alternate she’d had which I would’ve personally preferred.
