This book was amazing! I loved it from the beginning until the very end, it’s so heartwarming, you’ll definitely get attached to the characters, all the children are very lovable as well as the adults.
While reading that book I went on a journey of self reflexion about my life and what I really wanted to do with it. It’ll definitely make me grow as a person.
There were some moments that made me cried, I grew attached to all the characters and felt the emotions that they were conveying, I was happy with them, I was scared with them, I was sad with them. I felt like I became a part of this big family. I was cheering the characters even and was hoping for the better.
I lowkey saw the plot twist about Arthur being a magical being but it still got me with his terrible past. The relation he has with the children is absolutely adorable, he really is their father. As for his relation with Linus it was so natural and cute, I was cheering for them all the way and I’m so glad they had their happy ending!!
I loved all the children so much but I have to admit that Sal was my favorite, probably because of the fact that I relate to him so much, I could see myself in him and seeing him having this development was so heartwarming, he deserves everything.
The character development that Linus went through is amazing, he went from a man who was content with a basic life and who let everyone talk down on him to a man who knows what he wants, who stand up for himself and his loved ones as well as his beliefs and who doesn’t hesitate to left everything behind for what really matters to him. It’s this side of the story that I loved the most, the book really teaches you that sometimes life would shine brighter with the right persons and that home is not only a place.
