1. "Incendio" all expectations until they are completely ash.
2. Rewatch A Very Potter Musical and start imagining Darren Criss and Lauren Lopez as Harry and Draco when you read Cursed Child rather than Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton. Actually, just do that with all the characters, and assign your favorite random Starkid actors to Scorpius, Albus, and Delphi. Also, (AVPM and Cursed Child spoiler) It's essentially moreso a sequel in tone and storyline to A Very Potter Senior Year than anything Rowling has actually written.
3. Steal a time-turner (because we all know that those are invaluable commodities that should be just hanging around for any 4th year level Hogwarts student to steal) and go back in time to the release date of Deathly Hallows to remember what this series was like when it was innocent and the main characters had set characters...
Nah, I kid. Just read slash fanfiction between Scorpius and Albus and you'll be getting the best part of The Cursed Child without actually reading The Cursed Child.
