The Stranger by Albert Camus

My head hurts and my heart feels hollow

I binged the entirety of this book about an extremely dull man so detached from reality and social norms... and I loved every second of it

What I took away from this is everything is meaningless and nothing is important in the grand scheme of things. He is indifferent to the universe, and the universe is indifferent to him- so really it doesn't matter of you die young or from old age. It's all the same so make the most of the time you have.

All the people around him are bent on attaching reason to his actions, to preserve the construct of society and he's having none of it.

I think what I loved was his detachment. Because he did not react as expected, to the increasingly terrible things around him, it made for an unpredictable read.
