Birdie and Scout grew up together and are best friends. They do just about everything together. They both harbor feelings towards the other but haven’t told one another. Birdie went through a horrific trauma and had something taken from her. Scout helps keep her nightmares at bay, until he works late one night and finds her in the middle of a nightmare. When he tries to soothe her all she asks if for him to make her forget and boy does he!
Wow! This short novella really drags you in with the storyline, gets you hot and bothered, and then packs a punch with a huge cliffhanger. I sped through this novella so fast because it was so good. I can’t wait until book 2 in the duology to be released this summer!
Devils Sweetheart is part of the Fourteen Shades of Red Valentines Day Series.I read this book as an eARC, courtesy of Happily Booked PR, though all thoughts, feelings, and opinions are my own.
