Who would've thought that King Lear could be written as a debauched comedy by one of the funniest writers alive would tell a powerful story that the Bard himself would probably be proud. Moore takes us into the lives of the royalty as seen by the Court Jester, the Fool.
The story has more shagging than an Austin Powers film, and more intrigue than a Jane Austin novel. It's an enjoyable read; a fast read. I haven't yet found anything by Christopher Moore that I wouldn't recommend.
