Well, that's what I get for reading right up to the due date of the ebook and then failing to turn on airplane mode so the library took it back before I could review it. I have had to wait literal MONTHS to access my highlights, and I don't exactly remember the reading experience vividly. I'm granting this book a 3, even though it may have actually been a little bit lower initially, because I can't prove to myself I liked it less than 3's worth!
Basically, I don't recall having a problem with this book, per se, and I read straight through enjoying it 'well enough.' I do remember just being underwhelmed by the romance, and confused why Amy was so convinced that she was in love with Warren, when they'd barely spoken, he'd been incredibly rude when they had, and he gave her no encouragement. There was also a bit of 'miscommunication' trope, which I'm discovering is a technique Lindsey employs with some regularity in order to beef up the page count of her books. I am, of course, going to continue reading the rest of the books in the series, but they're not quite as much of a fun 'romp' as the first one I read, now that I've had a bit more experience with historical romance.
