This was an innovative kind of dystopia. Suspension of disbelief was easy as I found the writing engaging (in great part due to a good translation!). There were social motivations that I had hoped was explained in the end so not getting that was bit of a disappointment. But equally, the story left a mysterious vibe that makes it  memorable.
