i liked this book and in my opinion, ali hazelwood is becoming a really good rom com author.
this book does make me feel a little weird at times, and i think it’s because although the fmc is feeling “seen” for the first time, it comes across as the mmc going “you’re dumb and i know you better than you”. maybe it’s because it’s my job to not treat people like that, but it makes me walk away feeling a little… icky.
regardless, i think it’s cool that hazelwood continues to fine cool science niches to set her books in and teaches me a little more about what’s out there through a fun story.
