I have mixed feelings about this book. It initially felt a bit trite and non-original. This certainly isn’t the only book about a dystopian future with over the top government control. Part of me wanted to feel like this was just another retelling of that familiar story. But depressingly, it feels more relevant today than ever. Somehow book banning is surging, and this is still an important story to tell.
