How can I even begin explaining how much I hated this?
This book is horrible and bland. The writing style is boring, plain and has absolutely nothing interesting in it. I couldn't see a plot and the book just kept on being stretched into nothingness. The characters had no depth to them and I couldn't connect to any of them. All of them were so bland, and even mildly annoying. I am surprised that I haven't dnf'd this sooner. Usually I don't dnf books but this one was basically sucking the life out of me. It took me an entire month just to get to page 600 and that is when I couldn't take it anymore.
It basically traumatized me, all the beheadings and killings were just so unbearable. In each chapter there were about 5 people getting killed/beheaded which became really boring 10 chapters into the book. I don't understand how this book is so loved because I couldn't find ANYTHING to connect me to this book.
I am probably going to leave this series to read 2-3 years later because for now, my mind can't comprehend anything written in it. I am seriously annoyed that I spent most of my money on this series just for me to not like it!! I heard so many good things about it and I went into it with such high hopes that I ended up severely disappointed.
