A Column of Fire by Ken Follett

I enjoyed the other Ken follett books but this was almost a caricature of his writing style. His characters were either good or evil from page one and had no development from there. There was no plot, just all the main characters sitting in on Interesting historical incidents over about a hundred years. Some of the phrasing was really lazy (my dude, please replace "how come" with "why" throughout). And worst of all it gave in to prejudiced stereotype about Catholics and Protestants during the reformation in a way that suggests that the author read some third grade history books promulgated in modern Protestant countries and didn't bother to look any deeper. Real disappointed with this one.
