OVERALL RATING: 5/5 stars! Malice is a captivating web of a book. I am so grateful that I received a review copy of this book, and I am so excited that it's in the world!
PLOT: 4.5/5 stars. There were a few confusing bits, but overall the plot was intriguing and suspenseful. The twists were twisty enough that they weren't obvious, but not pulled out of thin air. I was able to guess some of them, but I was never too confident in my guesses!
STRUCTURE: 5/5 stars. The order of things made sense, and the storyline was strong. The character dispirited it well.
WORLD-BUILDING: 5/5 stars. From the first few pages I was pulled into the world of Alice and the rest of the cast. I could feel everything that was happening.
THEME: 5/5 stars. Dunn's concept was so unique! I've never read another book like it.
CHARACTERS: 5/5 stars. I found Alice so relatable, and I enjoyed getting to know Bandit. My feelings about him changed in conjunction with Alice's (almost).
DIALOGUE: 5/5 stars. Bandit's sarcastic remarks and Zeke's kind words were both so realistic. Alice's flustered responses were too
