I was given this series when I was 4 years old and remember being put off by it because of the French kissing in it 😂 gave them away and everything!  so when I was 22-24 i spotted them in a whsmith and made it my mission to go through some of them,  actually realizing how low-key it was. And great fun 🤩 I appreciated them even more than I would’ve back then for some reason. I’ll be hanging onto my set now. And I read them at the right time for sure.
