sunday_evening 's review for:
The Norton Anthology of Theory and Criticism
by Vincent B. Leitch
challenging
informative
Ready for literary theory class. Gave me an extreme distaste for Hegel, but this anthology is also where I read perhaps my favorite line in any academic paper I’ve read ever, which came from Bruno Latour’s “Why Has Critique Run Out of Steam?”: “Let me be mean for a second” (pg 2119). Didn’t agree with a lot of what Latour said in this essay, but I always appreciate an academic’s dedication to being a grade A cunt.
