the fact that Elijah saw a single mom, assumed she used EBT, then proceeded to judge her based on this assumption is fucked up. but also why shouldn’t she, a single mother struggling for money at that point, take advantage of government aid so that her child could eat?? and why is she seen as a better mother for using her debit card instead of EBT, when her child clearly wants a wider variety of foods than she could provide on her own at that point? i could never really like Elijah after this tbh. rest of the story was mid
