Saga, Volume 9 by Brian K. Vaughan
3.0
Whelp.
I've criticised Vaughan before for being too trigger happy with killing off characters. so it shouldn't have surprised me that 3 of the best characters died in this volume. At least my dislike of The Will has been truly validated.
Outside of the gut-wrenching deaths, I actually found this volume pretty underwhelming. I guess because so much of the narrative was building to that end, everything else was purpose misdirection.
Saga has been on hiatus for a few years now and currently there's still no date for when it'll return, so it'll be a long while yet before the next volume comes out. Hopefully, by then my heart will be a little less broken and I'll want to come back for more.
