This was my first book written from the perspective of someone who is neurodivergent and it was so incredibly well done. As someone who is neurotypical, I could read the other characters reactions to Wendy but it was really interesting to see how she interpreted them instead. It was a heartwarming story for a lot of it, and I loved Wendy’s relationship with her regulars on the bus. As a redhead in Scotland myself, I felt having a main character called ginger to be a little gimmicky compared to the other references to the country. The ending was also a little rushed for my liking, basically over before you know it but overall an enjoyable, heartwarming and tragic novel.
