As with everything Angie Thomas creates this was incredible! It was amazing getting to see the beginnings of the Carter family and seeing some of the characters from THUG again. Saying that, this book also broke my heart. The fact that black people still have to fear for their lives on a daily basis just because of how they look is an absolute disgrace and it has no place in our society. This is an incredibly important book and I think Angie Thomas's works should be mandatory reading in all schools.
