Look by Zan Romanoff

Look is about a girl named Lulu who has a lot of followers on an app called Flash. When she accidentally posts a video of her kissing another girl, her boyfriend breaks up with her. Then she meets a girl named Cass who takes her to The Hotel- a place that a rich kid is restoring that uses for parties. But Lulu's spotlight won't leave her.

This book wasn't for me and I knew that going into it but I still listened to it because I'm a clown- I hate stories that are all about social media / social media fame. This book was slightly more than that but really, it was mostly about teens going to parties and being awful to each other. I did how weirdly feminist it turned out to be though.

Lulu wasn't much of a main character. For most of the book it just felt like things were happening to her with little inference from her. The romance was also... a thing. Everything else was just trying so hard to be quirky and edgy.

I never get when authors make characters have a lot of followers they go for such a small number. Lulu has literally 5k and everyone was losing their mind and I just ??? People have millions of followers for nothing and the best you can do is 5k on this instagram ripoff app you just made up? I'm cackling.

I'm uncomfortable with the fact that barely anyone has reviewed this book so imma head out now but this book wasn't for me, but at least it was entertaining enough. (Also the cover for this is far too ominous for this story.)
