The Widow's Watcher by Eliza Maxwell

4.0

Definitely not what I expected but a really great read. I thought this would be about a woman's recovery from grief, which in a way it was, but there was another story altogether, a mystery, another family broken apart, another story of grief and healing that the main character also becomes involved in. I was happy with the resolution of both stories and they intertwined and wove around each other. I'm glad I didn't read this after I'd suffered a big loss though, the theme of grief is prevalent and heavy. Not unbearable but very palpable. All in all though a good read. I enjoyed these characters.
