3.5

3.5 stars, rounded up. What an interesting, slim thing of a novel. While I finished still in want of more developed characters, Sagan nevertheless manages a satisfying exploration of the overwhelming desire to be seen and the consequences of attention in one's adolescence.

It was initially pitched to me as what THE MARGOT AFFAIR could very well be fan fiction of, and I couldn't describe it better; I highly recommend reading them together. With love to my pandemic book club for the recs : )
