This anthology is beautiful and heartbreaking; I’m so grateful that I came across this collection. These young poets have been through so much already and their experiences shine through in their work. ‘Cape’, ‘I have divided my heart’, ‘Time’, ‘My Poem’, ‘To the Taliban’, ‘I Come From’, and ‘Bridge’ were all firm favourites that have stuck with me. The language these children use is truly exceptional and each poem creates so much emotion. I was shook to my very core by some of their experiences and feelings about their journeys and lives. The voices of young refugees and immigrants are not heard enough and for this reason alone this collection is something special. I will most definitely be re reading this. Very talented young people.
