White Pines by Gemma Amor

4.0

To say that Megs is down on her luck in this genre blending cultish, cosmic horror is an understatement. I will not get into a summary because I think it is best if you go in knowing little about it. I could not put this down, I had to finish it. I had to see what happened. Crushing book hangover, in such a good way.

Let this story flow over you, and feel it’s weight. Megs has a heavy soul and seems to pull down the atmosphere around her. Gemma Amor has a way of putting you in the story, almost like you are shadowing Megan’s every move. When I read the book I could see the vast ocean, feel the breeze flow around me and tickle the hairs on the back of my neck. I could smell and taste the salt air.

This needs to be made into an illustrated special edition, however the art needs to be done in oils. There is so much depth in this novel that the art has to be thick and textured
