A much darker entry in the series, more akin to Dennis Lehane, but also one of the more intriguing from a psychological perspective.

I've really appreciated the inclusion of Hoglund since last book, and the continued/increased inclusion of Wallander's family. More so, I'm thankful for Wallander's growth in that he's somewhat stopped trying to do everything himself all the time, ha. Good portrayal/continuation of Wallander dealing with his trauma from previous books.
