What a fucking rushed, anticlimactic, and lazy ending. While the rest of the book wasn’t great, I still found myself looking forward to reading it. But when it got to a certain point at the end, I knew what was gonna happen, and yet still wanted to throw the book across the room anyway. Thankfully I stopped myself since I was reading it on my iPad.

There were also so many plot points that were introduced but never followed up on. Like she has adhd and thought of all these great ideas avenues to go down, but then didn’t do the work to actually do anything with them.

Also, the husband is fucking terrible and deserved to be at least a little maimed.
I mean she was home less than 24 hours before he shoved his erection against her and whined about his blue balls
. Such a fucking twat. (And the both of them for giving their barely 1yo babies their own tablet EACH)

The thing about this book that fucked me up the most though (related to the MC) - we both spell our names the same (correct) way, we both had a parent die of lung cancer, and we’re both 5’1. Talk about crazy coincidences. However it’s a good thing those coincidences end there and that people can’t get detained for thinking about hurting others, bc I came up with some colorful ways of ridding the world of my abusive ex when I was doing one of my PTSD therapies (thinking about roasting s'more's over the corpse fire still brings me joy. But I’d obviously never *actually* do it, bc his body would release too many toxins in the air and I try to avoid those in the foods I eat)
