arguably my favorite protagonist of the year, Martha was an exquisite main character to follow. the author’s note made this book even better than it already was, but i thought this story was really engaging, well written, and i was rooting for all of these women the whole time. i loved Martha and her husband Ephraims relationship a lot and each character had significant depth to them
