This is the second ghost story I have read this year and I loved it. I definitely have seen the 2012 film rendition of this book, which I did not truly watch because it was too scary. However, I loved the book as I found it to be creepy and chilling rather than in your face shocking horror. Like I found with the other ghost story I read, the build up was quite slow and in my opinion, the first chapter was meh.
Although these sort of books unsettle me, I cannot but want to chase the feeling that these gothic ghost stories give me.
