"But luckily for me, the Fae I was preparing them for had a taste for blood. Not that she’d bitten me yet and she wouldn’t be doing so until I was ten inches deep in her. Alright nine. Gah fine. Eight and a half." ♌

I just finished Savage Fae by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti, and I loved that it picked up right where Dark Fae left off. There was no messing about; I was straight back into the action, which is exactly what I wanted. This book really ramps up the intensity and dives deeper into the brutal Fae world. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic is handled really well, with the main characters' relationships getting more complicated and engaging. It’s not just about who likes who, though. The found family theme is strong here, showing how the characters rely on each other to get through tough times. You can't help but cheer them on as they face constant danger and uncover surprising secrets. The dark academia setting, with its dangerous lessons and power plays, keeps things interesting and adds a real sense of risk to everything that happens.

What I really enjoy about Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti's writing is how they mix intense emotional parts with exciting action. The plot twists kept me hooked! The characters grow a lot in this book; they're truly becoming stronger and more determined, even when things get really hard. Honestly, this series is just so good, the world they've built is brilliant. I'm already desperate to read the next book because I have to know what happens! Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti have created a truly addictive story.
