Okay listen, this novella is so cheesy and insta-lust but the storyline is so good. I couldn’t stop reading even if I was shaking my head the whole time because of how ridiculous it is. Don’t get me wrong the steamy scenes were hot and that gun play 🥵 but the rest of it was just okay. I feel like had the book been full length and their romance wasn’t so insta-lust I think it would have been so much better. The ex boyfriend storyline was really all over the place and didn’t really fit with the rest of it. You’re telling me Maddox unalived someone who threatened to take her but didn’t unalive the ex bf who cheated on her? Hmmmm okay. Maddox claimed he was a horrible man and don’t get me wrong he was but damn was he so supportive of Ivy and her career goals. Did this man kill people? Yes. Did he rob banks? Also, yes. But damnit he was so obsessed with Ivy, would do anything for her and had her back always. That right there made all the red flags go away 🤣 He’s super unhinged and way overly obsessed and over the top about everything but what girl doesn’t want their man obsessed with them?  Clearly I’m joking. I feel like it could have been better but at the same time I couldn’t stop reading it sooooooo there’s that.
