The Wicker King
by K. Ancrum
Recommend: Yes
Key fragrance notes: YA contemporary for people older than YA-age, self destructive protag, easy to read with some substance
Unusual but interesting. Told in a series of drabbles, with mixed media sprinkled in. Some of the most mentally ill characters I've ever seen in fiction. Lost some impact towards the end; just because there's a kiss doesn't mean it should be framed as a happy ending. 3.75*
