Always a worry with a really good first book that the follow up won't be as good, but this absolutely delivered. All of the PoV characters were compelling, but it was great to see the

tension between Honey and Jimmy and how she was forced to bend and break her principles in gradually increasing, very believable ways.

I've seen a few people compare the main bad guy to Trump, which I absolutely get, but I read him as more of an Alex Jones type.
