I’m usually fearful of historical fiction because I don’t want to get bored but this book felt so real! Never boring and it was so easy for me to root for Elizabeth. It amazes me how culturally accepted injustices were and, let's be real, still are BUT that's another topic for another time... I loved the writing and how everything came together, and I especially loved how the book ended!

Likes: feminism, strong female MC, chemistry lingo, Elizabeth's parenting style, other characters- Mad and Six-Thirty💕, accuracy of depiction of gender roles
Dislikes: slightly confusing nonlinear timeline moments but honestly I think this was just me. Check trigger warnings!
