The Year of Fog by Michelle Richmond
4.0
My sister recommended that I read this book. Generally, we do not read the same things; she is drawn toward Nicholas Sparks (blech!) and Jodi Picoult; I read a lot of romantic suspense, sci-fi/fantasy, and the occassional YA series (often sci-fi/fantasy). However, I had trouble putting this one down.
Richmond drew me in emotionally from the very beginning. I didn't just want to know what was going to happen/what had happened, but I needed to know. I had a connection to the characters that kept me reading instead of doing work I needed to get done.
Despite being slightly groggy and less than well prepared the next day, I don't regret the time I took reading it. Despite the fact that I have finished the novel, I still feel interested in the characters. I could have kept reading!
