The Sisterhood: The Secret History of Women at the CIA by Liza Mundy

challenging reflective tense medium-paced

4.0

What struck me most was one of the last chapters, where analysts from different eras are trying to understand what the biggest global threat is or was. On that note, I found the more recent history about global terrorism to be more interesting, specifically because that is the threat I grew up hearing about. The earlier chapters about the Cold War were something I’ve only read about, not lived through, so they were a bit harder to get through. I appreciate the style of writing in this book. It is not overly feminist but creates a clear picture of the value of women in the CIA.
