I started off a bit unsure of how I would enjoy this book, but it had me hooked very quickly. The main character grows in a way I just loved to see, and the horror of the house and the development was so spooky and well executed. I was definitely reminded of Jane Eyre, which is one of my favorite books, but with gruesome twists. The writing was excellent, and I just loved this book a lot.
