I always forget how much I love Jake until I'm reading his perspective. Jake is great!

This was one of my favorite stories in the series so far.

Out of nowhere, the Ellimist shows up to ask the kids to be his champion in a battle against the Howlers on a faraway planet. That's awesome! And the twist that the Howlers are just young children who don't know what killing means? Incredible. Also, Jake and Cassie kiss!!!
