Re-reading a different edition in preparation for Wind and Truth. I still absolutely love this book. An amazing, emotionally moving start to the greatest epic fantasy series out there in my opinion. Kaladin as a character will always make me cry in the best way, such a beautiful depiction of a person fighting not only against the forces around them, but against their inner demons and traumas. Shallan and Dalinar are both fascinating characters in their own rights and are set up so well. So many threads are put in place in this book that I didn’t notice the first time, it’s such an expertly crafted series. So excited for Wind and Truth
