The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter
4.0
I happened to really enjoy this book. It was like an adult twist to a fairy tale. I've read few other books dealing with immortal warriors and "gods" and unfortunatly they are all basically the same. This one is the same as the others, however the fairy tale idea and the rouge god was a beautiful twist. It gave the story a much needed uniqueness to it and pulled me as the reader in more. I found that i was more willing to ingest the story as it derailed from the common immortal gods etc stories. It was very romantic and sweet and I thought Maddox was simply delicious as i tend to think most story heros are. I liked that Ashlyn was her own small fragile heroin as well. <3 it was a god book i look forward to purchasing the next book.
