Rounding up just for the pure character of Wes at the end of the book. At the beginning, I liked the sense of potential and learning about the campus (although this could have been in more detail and possibly an illustrated map in the book). However by about 50% I was slumping, Wes and Liz were becoming annoying and the book wasn’t progressing anywhere other than repetitive information. I did like about 65% onwards when more of the backstory developed. But would still argue this was lacking detail or full relation to the whole book. The ending came in a blur like it suddenly needed to be wrapped up. 

One positive experience was the baseball field night adventure. Wes became one of my favourites by that point. But sadly the whole blurb referring to grand romantic movie gestures is a bit of an exaggeration. As there was really only one scene this was in. 

This book required a lot of concentration and determination to push for the end.
