The Light Fantastic
by Terry Pratchett
Rincewind is such as amazing character!
Needed to spend some of my yearly 50 days of PTO to get it down to almost zero by the end of the year and could not think of a funnier book to read while traveling between Portugal, Grand Canaria, Lanzarote and finally Belfast. Partner not very happy with my lack of attention due to being glued to this book, but we'll survive as we did over the last 11 years.
Definitely a step up from "The colour of magic": characters, environment, story-telling and humour. I definitely enjoy the sarcastic and mocking style this book was written, much largely thanks to Rincewind's flawed personality and one liners.
The tourist, Twoflower, becomes much better then the first book. He's grown to be a primary character while in the first book he was more like an assistant.
The rest of the cast is well diverse and, most importantly, very well written and distinct I've another!
I will definitely continue my journey through Discworld, very well worth the time and now I start to understand all the commotion about these books!
