Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling

4.0

Having grown up watching the movie, there weren’t many surprises, mostly a fun and magical story. The unicorn scene was something I forgot from the movie that sparked a reaction for being just as creepy as my suppressed memory. Also the Dursleys came off far more abusive in the book so I felt emotional when Hagrid gave Harry a photo album of his parents at the end.
