I always want to like these books more than I do. I felt like the plot was confusing and I wasn’t sure what the plot was, like what we were getting towards. the timeline jumped around a lot between characters so that was confusing. 

also who is the narrator, is it just a random islander? I don’t like the random small parts of 2nd person pov they add in.
