A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson

dark tense fast-paced

After reading Education in Malice (which I loved) and Evocation (which I didn't) I was curious to see which one was the fluke. After reading a Dowry of Blood, unfortunately the fluke was Malice.

This book is like cotton candy. Pretty, but insubstantial. Unlike cotton candy, however, this book loves to bludgeon its readers over the head with its themes instead of treating its readers like intelligent people. My kingdom for some subtlety.
