While the language used to describe trans women is not what I would use, the trans characters are really lovely and and are viewed positively. I don't think I would recommend this book to anyone who has been personally affected by trans violence.
What I liked about this book was the descriptions of the kitchen. Honestly, I could have read more description of the kitchen and the cooking, although I'm sure many would disagree with me.
