This book at times felt like it was Game of Thrones but make it YA. I love the complexity of the characters and the plot. There were times where I felt as if there were unnecessary scenes but overall the plot kept me intrigued for almost the whole book. For the length of the book it had a good pace and good plotline. The characters all had thier likes and dislikes and were all each unique in thier own ways. The writing of this novel was truly something. The way the author described things really made you feel as if you were there. If you want a good paced, long, captivating fantasy with creatures and magic and princes then this is the book for you.
