 I really enjoyed this one!

First of all, I loved the magical realism in this story, and it's roots in the Lipan Apache Indigenous history and with that, I loved how there were so many stories within this story, as education was always transferred through stories it was so fitting.

We had coyote people, vampires, animal ghost companions and human ghost emissaries.

The book was easy to read and digest, the pace was really good, and the murder mystery was well done.

I was incredibly surprised and excited to learn that the main character is asexual, and that it forms absolutely no part of the plot, just is!
