I found this so much more enjoyable than all but the first of the Inheritance Games books. The puzzles were complex and throughout the whole book. The POV characters' strengths were all highlighted in their chapters and, despite not having their own POV, all of the other contestants were really well developed. I will say I do think this is a mystery, but I do not know why it seems people are classing it as a thriller. Well it was mysterious and interesting, it was missing the sense of urgency you would usually see in a thriller. With the ending of this book, I imagine book 2 will be much more aligned with what I would expect of a thriller.
Graphic: Death, Suicide, Death of parent
Moderate: Blood, Grief
