Why Didn't They Ask Evans? by Agatha Christie

4.0

The more I read Agatha Christie, the more I understand, why she is still the most sold (crime) author. She always manages to create an exciting and thrilling plot with interesting characters and never misses to combine horror with beauty and comedy. I very much enjoyed the murder mystery in this novel and felt a lot with some of the characters. The ending was, as usual, a remarkable surprise (and somehow dissapointing, because I was rooting for one of the "evil characters"). The only thing, that hindered me from rating this with the full 5 stars was the fact that the story began rather slowly. However, in the end, I could not put the book down.
